I second the motion for the Yaesu. Or, a good used Icom or Kenwood. Alinco
makes some fine radios also.

The "Anytime" Randy mentions is actually the AnyTone
AT5888UV<https://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/11197>. I have the AT5888UV,
which I bought used. It's my base station VHF/UHF and a good dual band dual
receive with lots of features. It's manufactured by Qixiang Electron, an
established Chinese 2-way radio and cellular equipment manufacturer.

Gary. You can get a brand new 75 watt Yaesu FT 2900r from Giga Parts for
159.00. Still enough for antenna. Very solid radio and brand new. No sales tax
from Giga Parts but will have shipping cost.

Thanks for the land line QSO OM. I appreciate the 2 Mtr.

Anytime AT5888, but will probably go with the TMV71A.
