WOW Ok so I read through this thread . Jon the attachment you posted from Post 255 that lays out some rational for cleaning up the language is talking about a memorial service and then compares colorful language to "Spitting on a Casket". At the very least this is a gross over statement of reality and I would find more rational people to be around if they were ever that offended.
In my experience Hams are great people and they are all grown and some may even drop a few words in the company of their friends that the FCC wouldn't allow of the air. I can relate, I have strong southern Christian women and I have even spent time in the Navy myself. My point is that the question that you asked and this Post Report could be consider offensive as well. I also believe most the of the people will be there to enjoy themselves and not feel like they are redistricted to some other organizations Code of Conduct. I can only speak for myself and not the Clubs or other Hams, Field Day is a Ham event and not a memorial service back on Post 255.
