Subject: [BVARC] Attention FD Phone Operators--Save Your Voice!

I have now figured out how to use the voice playback feature of N1MM Logger+ to
send prerecorded messages to the Elecraft K3. The N1MM programmers did all the
hard work, and then craftily hid the instructions in the N1MM manual, a mere
844 page document.
At any rate, anyone who sends me a simple wave file with the right words can
have his own voice prerecorded and the requisite messages available at the push
of a function key on the computer.
I'll do the hard stuff, like equalization, compression, normalization and so on
and make sure you are all set. Why your own voice? We don't want to confuse the
ham on the far end of the QSO with a voice that sounds different. Your voice
files will be called up when you long on with the Control-O command in N1MM.
Attached is what I have recorded for myself. You will use the same words, or at
least nearly so.
You can use any recording program you want so long as it can produce a .wav
file. Windows "Sound Recorder" works fine. Try to use a good mic in a quiet
location to make the recording. Here is what you need to record Seek you Field

Class and section again? This can be all in one file with very brief pauses
between phrases. Make sure to include your FCC call sign, as that is what you
will use to log into the N1MM program to start your session logging.
The exchanges are brief and to the point. If you want to chat, come to Museum
