Every time I have used generic cartridges, my HP printer has failed after a
short period of use. I replaced with a Canon, but their ink is just as
expensive as HP, and not found at all vendors. Plus, the printer I chose
failed sooner than the HP I have been using for the past 5 years.

I do not replace the cartridge very often, but always pay the “extra” for a
genuine replacement to get good quality and longevity.

My HP ink jet printer died. Replaced with a Canon.

I have 6 HP generic cartridges, XL63, some Color, some Black.

Takeaway.
