These storms are not ever something to take lightly, but you can be prepared to ride them out if necessary. I have elderly in laws that an evacuation would be more of a risk than the storm, so we are always ready to hang around. That said, Katy is fairly safe place to be during a strum, but we are also ready to move in case flooding becomes an issue.
