The video showed my second employer SE or Sterling Electronics, distributor of
Motorola transistors back in the early 70s. I still have some SE stickers.

I still remember the bag phone I had. It was a car mobile phone that they put
in a carry bag with a 12 volt battery and an antenna. Used to take it
everywhere. Then Motorola came out with that phone that looked like a military
radio. I never had one of them. I started on the next generation before the
flip phone. Then flip phone and on and on.

Found this on YouTube about history of Motorola and development of car radios
and how that evolved to the current cell phone market.

A friend who serviced photo finishing equipment used one of the predecessors to
the flip phone in the mid 1980's, likely the clunky ni-cad powered model made
before the Razor flip phone.
