As always great info from Robert. DwayneKB5YTA On Wed, Nov 6, 2019 at 10:19 PM Robert Polinski via BVARC <[email protected]> wrote: It is running, and pulling the train. If you want to monitor the radio, the freq used will be the Glidden sub (from Flatonia to West junction ) 161.26500 (it will likely stay on this channel till it gets to the station), but after West Junction ( South Main & Hiram Clarke ) it can switch to TTD2 160.770 When it leaves the Amtrak station it will get clearance from TTD2 on 160.770 Just north of the 610 loop it enters the Palestine Sub (goes in the middle of the Hardy Toll Road) The Palestine Sub dispatcher is on 161.2200 that goes to Spring Tx They will then get on the Navasota Sub that dispatcher is 160.8300. They may get clearance from TTD2 on the phone. All the dispatchers are located in a bldg. in Spring and will use that when they communicate Example ( Palestine sub dispatcher spring to the 4014 North) All communications are simplex and the dispatcher can select the radio tower closes to the train. A good antenna is a must for much range.
