Yea, a beam really helps. I got a linear to break through the DX pile ups
and poor propagation conditions.

I have used my Hermes Lite2 for several months with 5 watts, and worked the
world just fine.
But I do have a nice beam that helps that a great deal.
Amps can easily be added for more power as needed.

I got recommended Hermes lite 2 as my new radio. I want to operate on SSB
voice as well as digital. Are 5 watts of power enough to work the world or
should I buy an amplifier? If I should get an amplifier which one should I get?
Thank You
