When I think about hamfests, I think of the people relying on the meager income
they derive from their efforts. I enjoyed spaghetti dinner at ours with a
couple whose life and livelihood had them traveling nearby hand to mouth from
one fest to another. They had some nice products. Another gentleman sold a
variety of crystal radios. Many these folks have websites, etc. I just wish
there were a common space where we could find them. I admit though that
hamfests are about other things like, particularly in person contacts around a
mutual hobby.
