All of my power supplies are Astron switching units with meters.  Two were
purchased in 2003 for a DXpedition to Falkland Islands.  These have been hauled
around on six more DXpeditions around the globe.  Since then I have purchased
three more.  All are currently in use in my ham shack.

I’ll second that one as well.  I’ve got one that I run MY HF rig on as well as
the small amount of power it takes to run the SWR meter as well.  It works
GREAT and is virtually noise free.

I like those too.

I'd get a 25 amp, in case you want to use a 100w hf rig later. 25 amp is sort
of "standard".

I have used the MFJ-4230 for years and have been very happy with it. About $100
from any of the major ham equipment suppliers.

I’m a newbie looking for recommendations for a DC power supply for a dual band
transceiver.  13A max current requirement.  I’m leaning towards a switching
power supply rather than a linear unit.

There are too many different manufactures so I’m looking for other users input
on brands that are reliable and provide clean power to the radio.

Thanks in advance,

Brent
