Philippe,

Just a suggestion, but I bought a Surecomm SW-102HF digital from Amazon for $69
that does wattage &SWR in a compact package. I have the UHF/VHF model as well
and the output lined up with what I was seeing on my old MFJ and wattmeter on
my rig, which is a Yaesu FT-840 I bought in 1999. It puts out about 21 watts AM
(84 PEP) into a dummy load. It makes sense since the electrolytic capacitors in
the older radios tend to degrade over time.
