Hi Don:

Welcome to Ham Radio! Give me a call and I will let the gate know your are
coming. We are way in the back at Weston Lakes. Today would be good. Next week
I'm having cataract surgery.

Btw, new member and just got my Tech in September and General in October at the
CRHRC Hamfest. Study waaaay back in’75 for Novice but that code and life got
in the way. My son got me interested in GRMS but found it limited and did a
dive back in to Amature radio. So at 69, I have a “new” hobby.
Joined BVARC as I have known about that club for years and even attended a
hamfest in the abt 2010 in Rosenberg .
I have Been monitoring the repeaters and getting on VHF/UHF. Mostly on a
couple of HT’s. Waiting on a mobile radio to be delivered and setup in my
truck. I did pick up a zBitx QRP radio at the CRHRC event, so just starting to
listen and learn about HF and FT8. Looking forward to getting on HF more.
Saving up for a 100W radio early next year.
