Me and my dad would talk on 145.270 back in 1985 when I moved to Houston. I lived in a 2nd floor apt in SW Houston, with an 8 element yagi pointed at Daisetta and my dad was back home in Port Arthur with an 11 element yagi on a 50’ mast also pointed at Daisetta. We could talk every night at 730. Some nights the repeater barely broke squelch and other nights it was full scale. Hey Chris wasn’t it just running a few watts? Take care, Marvin N5RKW Sent from my iPhone
