Eddie, that's how it is supposed to work, but it isn't working and
hasn't been for some time. I've had tickets open with the hosting
provider on other mailman lists on their systems and they know there is
an issue. a cpanel upgrade screwed up mailman. One of my lists quit
working all together, another was unaffected in receiving/sending messages.
We moved our lists over to groups.io

You should also be able to unsubscribe by sending an email (from the
address you're currently subscribed to the list) so
[email protected] and it should remove you as well.
