You JUST missed the houston hamfest. I sold my kenwood ts570 and my icom 7300
there. There were others who had other excellent models as well and super great
prices.
I sold my ts570 for $350 and it was pristine, no joke.
Go to the Belton Hamfest april 10 & 11. Belton Expo Center. You’ll probably
find some good stuff there. Belton is always good.
There are some texas swap and sell ham radio groups on facebook too. Browse
those. Ask a lot of questions.
Even some of the older gear is great to learn on where you have to manually
tune them. They are great for teaching new hams WHAT you are doing instead of
simply pushing an auto tune button. So many options out there today.

What are your interests on HF? SSB voice only? Digital? Pota/portable/mobile?
Some of that is going to matter for what rig you buy.

Good luck and have fun!
And welcome to HF!
