For the sake of others using Outlook, there are several versions of that email app (apps) called Outlook. I have spent the last hour trying to follow these instructions to set up a rule for routing BVARC reflector mail into its own box, only to finally have the Microsoft AI APP "Co-Pilot" lead me around through several versions of Outlook, seeking a version that supports "rules." No luck at all.
I think this is a very good reason to switch to the groups.io system that was subject of an interminable debate at last night's board meeting. The transition might be ugly, but if you just run the two services parallel for a while with the current reflector, you'll eventually be able to get everyone on board. I have quite a few group.io subscriptions and find the system to be quite friendly. Just a suggestion! 73, JP, K5JPP ________________________________ From: BVARC <[email protected]> on behalf of Eddie Runner via BVARC <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 6, 2026 7:29 AM To: 'BRAZOS VALLEY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB' <[email protected]> Cc: Eddie Runner <[email protected]>; [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [BVARC] usage of BVARC reflector 1) create folder in your outlook.. you likely already have a sent folder and a trash folder, usually in your left hand plane. Right click on your account name and CREATE NEW FOLDER 2) Right click on a reflector email with the specific [BVARC] in the subject line then RULES then CREATE RULE set the rule to move anything with [BVARC] in the subject (include the square brackets) check the box to move the item to the folder. outlook is one of the most capable news clients, you can go crazy with all the rules and things it can do. but might also be confusing. rest assured, the [BVARC] is specifically designed to do this and OUTLOOK is also specifically designed to do this...
