JP, there have been some nice updates to the BVARC main web page that add some insight here. Some repeaters, some simplex frequencies to try out.
I'd also suggest checking out the Katy club's website, katyars.com. They run some repeaters and nets in the Katy/Brookshire area. And once you've established some patterns you like, let us and the web team know so we can document those, too. John
