On inbound, check clock. If it's more or less good, assume battery is good. I think this is the best we can do. If the clock is way off, set it and date it, that is, note how long it sits without power after being set. What's a sufficient interval here for a good test, I'm not sure. We should point these machines to a server or two at pool.ntp.org. The Edubuntu/Ubuntu dual-boot, probably still labeled, perhaps under the west bench, is obsolete and fair game. ------------------------ Yahoo!
