The CD burner worked great under Edubuntu. I connected it and then booted Edubuntu. I then inserted a Knoppix CD and created an ISO image of the CD on the desktop. I then ejected the Knooppix CD, inserted a blank CD, and burned the ISO image to the blank CD. On reboot, Knoppix booted up just fine from the CD. In short very painless and intuitive.
