I looked at the following wiki pages which include instructions on how to clone computer, update the cloning image, etc.
http://64.34.164.208/~bworks/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=cloning_linux&s=cloning http://64.34.164.208/~bworks/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=imaging_a_linux_disk&s=cloning http://64.34.164.208/~bworks/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=updating_linux_image&s=cloning I'm kinda fuzzy on the instructions on each of the three pages, and have some questions/suggestions: 1) What is meant by "cloning computer"? I'm not sure whether the Linux image is on the external disk, or whether it's on the "Cloning Machine's" disk. Perhaps some definitions at the top of the page would be helpful. 2) I've never heard of a USB/FW enclosure. I had to look it up before I understood. Maybe add something like "USB/FW enclosure allows you to take an ordinary SATA hard drive and plug it into a computer's FW / USB port". Better yet, we should have a "definitions" page and link to the definition :) 3) Maybe a bit more detailed Overview on each page would help: "When you want to install Linux to a student's computer....", "When you want to update the Linux image that you install on student computers....." "When you want to create a new master Linux image ....." If anyone wants to clarify the pages, or respond with answers to some/all the questions here, I'd be glad to update the wiki. --Nate
