Very nice. I will try to connect to that share again this Saturday.
I think that I missed the password part last Saturday. I was able to share my USB drive, but I couldn't get clients' machines to mount it as writable. I've been trying some stuff at home, and I think I have to specify -o username= when mounting. I had more success using Konqueror and other GUI clients to write to the USB drive than when I try to mount the drive from the clients' machines. In any case, I will document the process of sharing a USB drive to the wiki when I get a workable solution. --Nate --- In [email protected], "Robert Citek" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Feb 2, 2008 8:06 PM, nneff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > There is a wiki page about samba written by Sean. > > http://wiki.bworks.org/doku.php/samba_file_server > ... > > What would it take to create a network share? > > Have you tried using the one mentioned in the wiki?
