I don't think such questions are at all good for asking on an
interview. It has nothing to do with good programming, and I'd be
quite put off if an interviewer asked me such a question (luckily,
none have ever). And if I were interviewing someone, I'd not ask such
a question either -- I'd want to know what their real world
programming skills were -- what software have you written in the past,
what kind of design experience, etc.
