well, you have two choices. Stick with windows and play your games while m$ and Google make these changes you claim to have caught. Or, you could switch to Linux and lose the ability to play games, god forbid, Where you'll have a lot more control over what happens to your system. You can also set it up under windows--IF you insist in running everything with full admin perms, amazingly enough, you will see changes to the registry when ever a program wants you to. Running under admin on is about the equiv of running root in linux--I do it, mainly because I don't care whatt happens, but I never run as full root unless I need to make changes in linux.
