It isn't about "choices". It is about what gets the job done and meets my needs best. The OS used really doesn't matter a whole lot to me. But Windows is required for the VC++ debugger, which is infinitely better than gdb. I'll go where the best debugger is. Gaming is a low priority for me, BUT "all work and no play..." VerifyMyPC covers the Microsoft/Google aspect just fine.
