Status in OpenObject GTK Client: Confirmed
Bug description:
given the answer in respect to saving shortcuts in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/618135
demo user can not save shortcuts - if this is intended behaviour the menu item
"save as shortcut" should not be available
IMHO this is the resulting error
tiny_socket.Myexception: ('warning -- AccessError\n\nYou can not create this
kind of document! (ir.ui.menu)', 'Traceback (most recent call last):\n File
"/home2/gass/OpenERP/trunk/openobject-server/bin/netsvc.py", line 431, in
dispatch\n result = ExportService.getService(service_name).dispatch(method,
auth, params)\n File
"/home2/gass/OpenERP/trunk/openobject-server/bin/service/web_services.py", line
589, in dispatch\n res = fn(db, uid, *params)\n File
"/home2/gass/OpenERP/trunk/openobject-server/bin/osv/osv.py", line 61, in
wrapper\n self.abortResponse(1, inst.name, \'warning\', inst.value)\n File
"/home2/gass/OpenERP/trunk/openobject-server/bin/netsvc.py", line 69, in
abortResponse\n raise Exception("%s -- %s\\n\\n%s"%(origin, description,
details))\nException: warning -- AccessError\n\nYou can not create this kind of
document! (ir.ui.menu)\n')
BTW if shortcuts are saved in "Administration / Custom shortcuts" they will
not be available for normal users as they do not have access to Administration
Menu usually.
May be I miss the idea behind shortcuts - but I would have expected to see
shortcuts integrated in the (individual) shortcut menu of forms.
