Note: FYI. We still have one remaining unfinished task WRT mirroring. Our download page (http://jakarta.apache.org/cactus/downloads.html) points directly to http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-cactus/... I guess we need to modify it to use a dynamic script. Stefan has been explaining it to us but I haven't taken the time to do it yet.
i've moved all the releases in jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-cactus to http://archive.apache.org/dist/jakarta/cactus/archive. i've add a .htaccess which redirects all traffic from jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-cactus to the main jakarta download page.
so, if someone follows your download link, it will lead to that page.
hopefully stefan will be able to sort out the script if you want to link directly to your releases.
please remember to link to the signature and sum from the main site but don't link to the actual distribution directory (since users will then tend to ignore the mirrors). if i haven't explained this very well, then taking a look at the main jakarta download pages should make the meaning clear.
