You are of course completely right and it shows that I am still a novice in
jakarta land ... :)
So please all forgive me for this mistake. You shoul read POLL rather than
VOTE .... I'll correct that in all subsequent posts.

What you say is very true and I appreciate your openess on the subject.
However there is always risk when doing collaborative work. What is
important is adaptation : everyone need to adapt and be open. I will need to
adapt to accept changes proposed by others, be in the code standard or in
other areas and on the other side the person committing need to understand
that there are rules to follow ... But I am willing to accept that (and
you're forgetting that I have already read your code when you submitted the
mock object implementation for servlet API ... ! :) ).

I have not said that I would accept everyone asking to become a committer
but I'll definitely examine the proposition and set up a path to become one
with the proponent (like first submit some patch, etc) ...
