Thanks for the information. The ladies with the blue uniforms must have
been the urban guardians you discuss, because they were native Andorrans.
Of course it is easy for an American to assume these are all the police,
because in our country almost all police (except for state troopers & the
FBI) are local police, under municial jurisdiction. I assume the
officers in the black uniforms were either French or Spanish, then.--Is
that correct?

Hi Glenn!

Chuck Anderson here!!

Thank you for sending me the information.  I was asking about the Guardia Urbana because I had one person tell me to concentrate on them, because all the rest of the police he said, were French or Spanish.  This same person told me that there was no actual Andorran Police, but there was just the Guardia Urbana.  I'm sure he meant well, but I'm a little puzzled.

My book's title is Protectors of Their People, and in keeping with the spirit of the title, I want to write about Andorran Police (who are themselves Andorran), working for Andorra's own Police Force, and protecting their fellow citizens of Andorra (and others in their country of course.)

Specifically, I'm looking for the current Insignia of Rank (for Constables, Sgts.,Lieuts., etc.), worn by the Andorran Police.  Every place that I look for information on the Andorran Police has all kinds of information EXCEPT their current Insignia of Rank, the information that I need!

Andorra is Chapter One in my book, and on the first page, I'll have the Andorran Flag (at the top), the Andorran Coat-of-Arms in the center, and then the Andorran Police Insignia of Rank below that.  I want to write the best chapter I can, I want to do something good for the nation (I've been interested in Andorra ever since I was young--it's always seemed like such a nice place and someday I'd like to visit there!)

Anyway Glenn, getting their police force's current Insignia of Rank is of paramount importance to me, for without that information, the very theme for my book is in danger.

The Andorran Police is just one of the Protectors of Their People that I'm writing about, the others being their Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Technicians and other public servants who serve their people.

But, right now the most important thing is to get that current Insignia of Rank, its got to be somewhere!  And, as I said, this imformation is of such importance to me, that I've promised to pay $50.00 for the one person who gets me the information first, and it must be accurate.

Anyway Glenn, I apologise for talking you ear off, and I do appreciate you writing to me!  Gotta' go!  See ya'!

Sincerely,

Chuck Anderson
