The graphical "Happy Face" boot progress bar may hide boot information.

For the OSOL 2008.11 release a "Happy Face" boot feature has been
enabled. This feature presents the user with a graphical horizontal
scrolling progress bar during boot in place of boot messages.
The problem is that the graphical horizontal scrolling progress bar can
hide information.
? Workaround
------------
The workaround is to disable the "Happy Face" boot.
"Happy Face" boot can be disable for a single boot by modifying the GRUB
boot entry at boot time. It can also be disable for all boots by
modifying the GRUB menu.lst file.
To disable it for a single boot:

When the system starts to boot and the GRUB selections are presented
edit the boot entry by typing 'e'
Use 'd' to delete the following three lines from GRUB menu:
splashimage /boot/solaris.xpm
foreground d25f00
background 115d93
Remove ",console=graphics" from the end of the kernel$ line using 'e'
for edit.
Boot - press 'b'
To disable it for all boots:

When the system is running modify the GRUB menu.lst file found at:
/rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst
Delete the following three lines
splashimage /boot/solaris.xpm
foreground d25f00
background 115d93
Remove ",console=graphics" from the end of the kernel$ line
