Karen, Thank your reply . I have 99b and 101a system. I download all file from pkg.opensolaris.org and set a local IPS in 101a vmware box. I also can review it with IE or firefox. But when I click the Catalog ' info' It shows a "the server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the requestPowered by CherryPy 3.1" . click Catalog ' manifest' is OK. I try another IPS http://pkg.unix-center.net:80 which is a mirror of the pkg.opensolaris.org in china . Click info and manifest both are ok.
I set "pkg set-authority "both unix-center and my local IPS to authority. But when I start packagemanager in the 101a,I select the unix-center or local authroity in repository dialog in the right corner , I can't find any packages in the list belove of the GUI packagemaniger. I only replace the main url to one of IPS above mention in the slim_cd.xml , then, error show: pkg:maxmum (4) pkg maximum network retries failed exceed download ... Read Error on tar stream... Ubable to install SUNWcs into /rpool/dc/date_build/pkg_image Ubable to install slim_install into /rpool/dc/date_build/pkg_image Ubable to install SUNWslim-utils into /rpool/dc/date_build/pkg_image Unable to retrieve all of the specified packages then I set PKG_CLIENT_TIMEOUT = 30000 PKG_TIMEOUT_MAX=10000 Both unix-center and my local IPS are the same error. ------------------ jklyekai 2008-11-19 ------------------------------------------------------------- ????Karen Tung ?????2008-11-19 01:45:01 ????likaijun ???caiman-discuss at opensolaris.org ???Re: [caiman-discuss] Timeout error:main url set to another IPS inthe slim_cd.xml likaijun wrote: > I use distro-const build slim_cd.xml then error show like this: > > pkg: Maximum (4) network retries exceeded during download. The Distro constructor has changed a lot since build 99. You can download it from: http://www.genunix.org/ --Karen
