Hi Karen:

My box is 101b?osol-11?.
I download new packages with my owner pkgrecv script from
http://pkg.opensolaris.org to my local box.
The number of packages is 1051, although there is nothing except manifest in
some packages for example amp .
I check all the packages files with another script to verify if all files of
every package download complete.

I start a empty IPS .Then I publish all packages with my owner pkgsend script
to the IPS.
Before I try the DC.I can do the IPS command listed in the "trouble shooting"
section of the following page successfully outside of the
Distro Constructor env.
http://opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/Constructor/DC_docs/DC_toi.html

pkg image-create -F -a test=http://10.152.11.188:8080 /tmp/test_img
pkg -R /tmp/test_img install SUNWcsd
pkg -R /tmp/test_ima install SUNWcs
pkg -R /tmp/test_img install slim_install
They are successfull. I think my IPS is OK.

Then I use DC application ,in the slim_cd.xml I point the url to my local IPS.
About 1.5 hours later , My ISO is created and I try to
install with vmware. almost everything is ok until process of installation is
up tp 99% .
install_log is :

that's tha all context of the install_log. Then installation failed.
I don't know why how.

1.So What should I do?

2.How can I remove package for example firefox and openofice. I use the default
slim_cd.xml.

3.if is it a bug that system time is always Jan/1/1970 started in the vmware
workstation ?

What do you mean you download all the file from pkg.opensolaris.org? How
do you setup your local IPS repo?

The fact that you can't do this means your repo is not setup correctly,
or your system is not setup correctly.
You should investigate and correct the problems before using Distro
Constructor.

I think all your problems have nothing to do with the Distro
Constructor. You should resolve all of them
before you try DC again. Please verify that you can do the IPS command
listed in the "trouble shooting"
section of the following page successfully outside of the Distro
Constructor env. before you try the DC.
Otherwise, you are just adding more complications.
