*nitpick* The on-disk format will actually be delivered *after* the 'repo-on-a-dvd'. Whether the on-disk format is a new version of a repository format or something completely different hasn't been decided yet. Specifically, an ISO image of the repository will be made available for the 2009.06 in the near future enabling users to run their own local repository using pkg.depotd. Stay tuned.
