2.4 Performance

Since this will be running in the background on the liveCD by default, 
without the user's explicit request, the background checker needs to be 
completely invisible to the user (i.e., the user shouldn't be aware that 
the utility is running at all - there should be no "sluggishness" to the 
system).

6.2.1 Text Installer Use Case 1

At this stage, network connection status is unknown. If the computer is 
on a network with DHCP, the machine may have network access at this 
point, but otherwise, there will likely be no network connection. Will 
the user be expected to manually configure networking (via the shell) 
prior to running DDU?

Beyond that, the spec looks great!
