Ok, at least on some boxes (right now tested it on Ultra80), /lib/svc/methos/live-fs-root fails at line 261 /sbin/dhcpinfo Rootpath. The NIC drivers are present and attached (on the U80 it is hme). But nothing except lo0 got plumbed. Manually doing "ifconfig -a plumb" does work, however. This makes everything else a small problem. Because the former can have hard-to-find reasons, if and where it rarely happens. Fortunately not here. Now let's see, if $Rootpath is actually empty ...
