After building an image with this kit last night, we've obviously got a lot of work to do to get the size of the boot archive back down to an acceptable level. Looks like getting 64-bit and 32-bit pulled back apart would do perhaps half of it, but poking around a bit, a couple of things that caught my eye:
- we really will have to prune usr to a more limited subset; need to sort out whether there's a re-factoring of packages to propose or whether we want to try to add some file-level tagging in IPS - DTrace toolkit doesn't need to be in the archive, it's not used until after the cd is mounted - var/sadm in the archive should just be a link to the one on the CD - the optimizations that are currently commented out at the end of the post-process script probably need to be added back in Dave
