The doc states:

"For SPARC clients, the installer searches for disks with a VTOC label."

I'm presuming that the search is performed by iterating through the 
controller and target and device numbers, of all disks, in ascending 
order? So, if it exists, c0t0d0 would be the first candidate.

Also, the next line states:

"For x86 clients, the installer searches for Solaris partitions."

I think this is the truth, but not the whole truth. My understanding is 
that if a Solaris partition is found on a disk, then it is used, however 
if no disk with a Solaris partition is used then... what? The disk 
referenced by biosdev gets used?
