Hi Jedy, in current implementation, when fresh installation is carried out, ZFS pool is always being recreated and thus all ZFS datasets and appropriate data are lost. You need to backup your home before you start fresh install on the same target (Solaris partition).
I think (I might be wrong) there are no plans to preserve existing ZFS datasets in Slim installer during fresh installation.
