Thanks Jean for the pointer. I went through some of the documents. It seems the automated installer allows user to create a AI manifest and AI system configuration file. The installer then uses these files to install OpenSolaris on the client side. If any component product wants to plug in to the automated installer such that the component bits get installed along with OpenSolaris, I am guessing the manifest and system configuration files would have to be modified. We somehow would need to point the package repository containing the component bits along with the OS bits. Is my understanding correct ?
I didn't find any document that talks in general about how the component products could plug in to the automated installer.
