Do you not also need to update files such as:
./usr/src/cmd/distro_const/auto_install/ai_sparc_image.xml:
<profile path="/var/svc/profile/generic_limited_net.xml"
./usr/src/cmd/distro_const/auto_install/ai_sparc_image.xml:
<profile path="/var/svc/profile/ns_files.xml"
./usr/src/cmd/distro_const/auto_install/ai_sparc_image.xml: <base_include
type="dir">var/svc/profile</base_include>
to change /var/svc/profile/... to /etc/svc/profile/...
