The way this works in my testing is that the 'new' copy of libbe.so (where new=the one delivered from ON) does get installed to the system. But yes, there will be a period of time (until the WOS build comes out that has the full ON changes and the full slim_source changes to remove beadm/libbe from slim_source) where libbe.so will be owned by two different packages.
