The combination of this fix and the slim_source fix resolves CRs 6971915 and 6984355 as well. I believe based on that I'll close the latter 2 as dupes, pointing to 12737 and 6979576 (or is there a better way to track them as such?)
I'd close them as dups of 6979576 and perhaps add a Comment that part of the fix is coming via 12737 in the IPS gate.
