Thanks all! I definitely still need to get used to the way hg works (and how some of these can be automatically done through eclipse, like hg add), and I will definitely make notes of all these commands.

FYI, on a project where new files are being created, I also suggest using hg status. This has helped me find files I created which needed to be registered with hg. (Registration is via hg add.)
