To get cake experience, I started with 'The Cake Blog Tutorial'. Unfortunately, my project has to use MS SQL-Server, therefore I tried to follow the tutorial with SQL-Server using adodb, but had no luck. I tried several adodb drivers. They connected from pure PHP, but not with cake. I must admit, it's five years ago I used PHP (since then I only developed in Java).
My basic question: Is it possible to use cake with MS SQL-Server and adodb? Are there restrictions (e.g. with ORM) using SQL-Server?
