It looks like you're creating the po file manually - or not via cake
Therefore:
- use the I18n shell to generate your po file
- Ensure the plural rule is correctly defined ("Plural-Forms:
nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1)\n" is correct)
- create/edit the de po file
