CakePHP's target audience are web developers. Now I don't think IE has a 
considerable market share within this demographic crowd. Therefor I 
would go as far and say that the people who are using IE (whatever 
version) as their main browser might have to reconsider their browser 
choice before continuing. I don't blame you for bringing up this topic, 
because I agree that this is something that should/could be fixed. But 
as some people have already said before me, CakePHP does not generate 
CSS for you, therefor it's the developers task to take care of IE's 
rendering disabilities ; ).
