Please don't slam people when they are trying to learn Cake. I have spent lot of time trying to follow the direction and try really hard not to hack and make Cake work with no mod_rewrite.
I am not saying people are wrong all I am saying I am not able to get it working as advertise. I also see lot of people are having the same problem as me and asking for me in this regard but get no answer so I decide to do some digging on my own and get it works for me and thinking that this might help some people that want to do the same and might be interested. I have install and tear down cake many time but get the same issue with Cake when not using mod_rewrite. Cake works great with host that have mod_rewrite like normal but does not work on host that either mod_rewrite is not there or don't work like a typical mod_rewrite. Case in point I have been trying to setup Cake on sourceforge.net and having lot of problem since sourceforge.net has some special setup and redirection and Cake does not work at all for me there. If anyone can show me the exact stpes on how to get Cake work without any hack not using mod_rewrite I would love to learn. Thanks to try to help and to be nice to others.
