My recommendation would be first to figure out if you even NEED to use a framework for your projects. Depending on complexity, cakePHP (or any other framework) might be overkill.
If you decide that you do want/need to use one, learn about the concept a bit before you start asking questions. Read the Manual. Go through the tutorials. There's no law that says that you absolutely must use a framework for PHP development nowadays... though it can simplify complex tasks for larger projects.
