given that this is the CakePHP list you will probably find that most answers will be CakePHP here.
But here is my answer. Do your research find that framework that syncs well with how you develop, look in google and many of the php developer sites there are a TON of comparisons written by people who proport to be less biased then the users here. Each frameworks is built to support different assumptions and conventions find the one that matches you and you will be happier (and so will others) But read, search, learn and decide and if you don't know MVC from the DMV then you have some learning to do before you get started ;) CakePHP is a framework built with convention over configuration as one of it's goals if you fight those conventions life will be hard for you.
