I suppose the real concern is the damage this is doing when those
still to download and try CakePHP who have seen a reccomendation (such
as Mozilla's use of CakePHP for their Add-Ons site - that's how I came
across it) and have thought "hey, that sounds great, I want to give it
a go" only to find they can't download the code because the main site
is down.

This could have a major impact on the community as we may be missing
out on new users who could help advance the usage and/or understanding
of this excellent framework.

Finger's crossed the foundation will realise this and but something in
place to minimise outages. A site being down is not a great advert
for a secure and stable php framework.
