You need to set it as an environment variable.
 
Alternatively, I would load MySQL, Apache and PHP individually. The PHP
installation has an option for adding to the path. Also you will have a
better understanding of how these things work. Its not very difficult to do.

 
Essentially you would
 
Install the latest MySQL
Install the latest Apached
Install the latest PHP
 
Answer the questions from the installers and you are done.

Hi All,

If I run php -v command to know php version on command line,
it shows error like
'php' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program
or batch file'

what does this error means?
I'm using xampp server on windows-xp(service pack-3);

please help me
